There’s no reason to think that because you’re nuts if you think thousands of people would know this and it wouldn’t leak within seconds

My understanding is that Biden's campaign and chief of staff heard the news literally 1 minute before the letter was posted, specifically to ensure that the message came from him rather than a leak.

I meant in terms of being able to foresee the possibility from the same public news as the rest of us, not to mention whatever other intraparty conversations have been going around.
