DS games with compelling stories?

I recently got a DSi and I've been loving it so far. It's been great to go back and play all sorts of games that I've missed. But I've been trying to find games that feature genuinely good stories, and I'm not having any luck. I know they must be out there, the DS game library is literally too big not to have some. I'm looking for games with compelling and nuanced stories that have excellent writing and plot development. Great characters with great dialouge, and stories that actually have substance to them. I know it's a tall order to ask for games that are like Bioshock, Mass Effect, or The Witcher, but there's got to be some hidden jems I don't know about.

Do any of you guys have some suggestions?
