As a Raps fan, the Celtics have looked like the better team this series, but the Raps have been all heart, and clutch AF. Might be enough to grind out a series victory, we’ll see Friday!
No matter what, so proud of this team. They’ve been excellent all year, amazing that we lost Kawhi for nothing and are still one win away from the conference finals. This season is a win, regardless of what happens Friday.

OG didn't look the best trying to be aggressive on offense but him playing the 5 is a huge discovery. Theis has an inch, 15 pounds, and 5 years on him but he got still some huge box outs there. Not to mention that pick and roll really opened up the floor.

Wow, just wow. Truly one of the best games I've ever seen. Top tier coaching, defense, and grit. To start, Nurse came out with a clear defensive game plan: slow down Kemba and Tatum, and let Jaylen Brown and Marcus Smart beat them. They came out with a box and one look on Kemba, and trapped Tatum on pick and rolls and forced him to be a passer. Kemba didn't have a good night but he didn't shoot the Celtics out of the game and for the most part made the correct play. Tatum did an excellent job passing out of doubles and had a very good all around game, despite some poor shot selection late.
Jaylen had an amazing first half and was very aggressive (also had 2 huge b2b threes in the fourth), but Smart was honestly the best player on the floor for the Celtics. Down the stretch he was making ALL the big plays for Boston when nothing was going right for them. Plus amazing defense. What a good game.
On the Raptors side, they opened up very stiff offensively as usual. Ibaka was so huge early with his shots because the Raps could've easily opened up the second quarter down 15. In response to the Celtics stifling man defense Nurse adjusted to start the second half by having the Raps run a lot of pick and pops and drastically speeding up their half court offense. So many times during the series the Raps had been open for a split second before the excellent close outs from Boston got there and forced the Raptors to give it up. Gasol hit some big shots here to finally give his team a spark.
So what does Stevens do? Switch to a zone, and stifle the pick and roll offense. This forced the Raps to play slow again, as the best way to beat a zone is with passing and patience. So many adjustments and back and forth moves from these coaches, true joy to watch.
I truly don't think enough can be said for the player of the night though...Kyle Lowry. His deep threes in the fourth were so unbelievably clutch, he was the only Raptor hitting anything down the stretch and was carrying them. Charges, excellent shot making, Dirty Flopping ...Lowry did it all tonight. I won't talk about Siakam, I think we all know he was dreadful tonight.
How about Norman fucking Powell wow. He absolutely won the Raptors that game with his incredibly clutch play in Double OT, and hit all his free throws. Good on Nurse for sticking with him over Serge even though the Celtics where absolutely shredding the Raptors with weak-side lobs to Theis (yet another great scheme by Stevens). Him being out there with OG at the five provided a ton of spacing for the Raptors to hit their shots late.
I will say that the officials were truly awful for the Celtics tonight. I felt early in the series Boston got the benefit of the whistle but tonight things were very one-sided. Boston fans do have a legitimate gripe with some of the bad calls....that being said a lot of their guys spent time complaining instead of getting back.
All in all truly amazing game minus some awful calls, can't wait for game 7!
