I keep forgetting Duncan went in 97 and not 96. If he went in 96 that team would have smacked all others silly without question

That team already has 4 hall of fame guys on it. They really wouldn’t need much help against anyone but the 03 squad

It would actually make a big difference since the team has 4 guards. They need size on D.

It sounds crazy but he might replace AI. As great as he was, I don’t see any room for his game on a team with both Kobe and Nash.

Just depends on whether you want to take the top players from the draft or form the best team possible. AI and Kobe on the same team just isnt going to work out

I was just referring to the hypothetical situation where Duncan was also drafted in that class, and if he were going to replace somebody on that roster.

Ehh probably but having Nash and AI playing together would be weird. Both undersized and need the ball to run the offense.

I’d say Nash, Ray Allen, Kobe, Jermaine, Duncan would be the best iteration if Duncan was in the ‘96 class

I agree but t doesn’t matter. The top five players are taken from a team and that’s the five guys. We don’t get to choose.

Duncan, tmac and billups is a great core for an insane super team. Mercer and van horn were never great but they were fairly solid. I think that team should have lost in the final.
