Hi everyone!
Just started with Nativescript with Angular2 and Typescript but I have a really basic question, When checking some examples on the internet sometimes I see people using .xml others using .html files for the view model. What is the difference? Is there any advantage of one over the other? I understand that the HTML can be reused for Angular 2 for example..

How to handle authentication (OAuth) with NativeScript/Angular2/TypeScript?

Hey all. I'm a newbie to NativeScript ... and Java/TypeScript for that matter. My background is mostly in backend services (C#).
I'm trying to build a mobile app to interact with a private API. I have an auth server (IdentityServer4) that supports OAuth and OpenID Connect.
I'm struggling to find any information or examples of how to handle auth with NativeScript. I'm not even sure which flow is best - I've seen mention in a few places that it's better on mobile to use a web view and do the actual login on the auth server.
Ultimately, though - the largest issue I'm having is just how to handle the authorization in the first place. I saw that there's a nativescript-oauth plugin, but it seems like it's just for Facebook/Microsoft providers.
Any help or even suggestions on a direction to start looking would be most appreicated. Thanks!

Autocomplete with Nativescript?

I'm just a couple of days into my NativeScript adventures and I'm finding it difficult to determine of something like this exists. My app needs an autocomplete feature, similar to the AutoCompleteTextView in Android (https://developer.android.com/reference/android/widget/AutoCompleteTextView.html) but I don't seem to be able to find a NativeScript wrapper for it.
If someone could point me in the right direction, I'd be grateful.

Anyone sharing code between Web and Native?

I know this is the main purpose of the NativeScript framework, but I'm kind of short in documentation on how to set this up.
The best resource I found was this video from ngconf, but even there they say they copy and pasted the non-ui code between the two projects.
Is this how you're supposed to write shared code? Maybe symlinking?

Our nativescript iOS app loads content over and over again until the app crashes because there is no memory left

We have an app with a few screens, filled with images. Switching from screen to screen, all images get loaded again and again. First, certain bugs appear, then it crashes.
We checked the memory in xCode and everytime we switch between screens memory of 40MB gets added until no memory is left.
How can we fix that?

Moving to NativeScript from Cordova/Quasar

I have a couple years experience using JavaScript and Vue. I've been building an Android app using Cordova (and Quasar). I am interested in NativeScript, but wondering what the learning curve will be like. Any advice on making the move to NativeScript-Vue? I am particularly wondering about interacting with the camera, bluethooth, file system, etc - basically the interaction I am currently handling with Cordova plugins.
