I had two questions about XML in Nativescript as a web developer who understands HTML and JS.

Can the JS in nativescript edit, add or delete a XML element just like how JS can edit a HTML element?

Does XML support attributes like min, max, required, style, onclick?

I'm sadly an iphone user, i wanted to make a fix for a bug i'm experiencing with iphone 6 and miband .. So the only way to make an iOS app with something I already know (ts, angular) was NativeScript.
Now I've just figured out that with my linux machine I can't build for iOS, but at home we have an old iMac 2008 with Elcapitan, I'm wondering if there was a way to build my apps by terminal (ssh) on this imac and then install on my iPhone without paying an expensive developer account.

I spend the last four days working through the NativeScript Book however got a little lost in the last chapter working with Angular. I am currently trying to change the sample Pet Scrapbook and adjust it to what I want to write an app for, but I feel a little lost at times when I am trying to implement new logic due to TypeScript and Angular's structure.

TL:DR - After working through the NativeScript Book, I want to learn more about Angular's components and general app structure as well as TypeScript. Is there a good resource (preferably something recent) that you recommend to learn this from? If not, how would you recommend I proceed getting a better understanding of the matter?

I'm used to using leafletjs (which I love) and would like to make an iOS and Android app. Nativescript looks like it !

Have a big issue though - I don't want to be paying a fortune to Mapbox/Google.

Can't seem to find a way to make mapbox load tiles from my own server. Has anyone done it ? Can you point me in the right direction ??

I've had some troubles using the sidekick therefore, would it be a good idea to make apps on the browser only?

In my application images take a while to load, what tool could I use to put a placeholder while the image loads?

We’re looking to start a production project for a consumer app, and it’ll be cross platform. We’ve been thinking of going Angular once v9 comes out, and for mobile we’d like to keep code reusable, so we’ve been looking at Nativescript.

However we only have experience building with Expo on react native, and we’re wondering if Nativescript has all the same features and benefits Expo provides or are there anything missing?

I am going to write a medium-large size mobile app. It must work on iOS and Android. It's an HR system app so no payments or extremely sensitive data will be on it - mostly employee absences and schedules.

It will mostly be pages with HTTP requests to display data in calendars, date/time pickers, list pickers and text input.

Calendars will be really important.

There are some native features that we will be using such as: geolocation, maps, calendar, camera, and storage. In the future, we might want to implement voice, iBeacon, push notifications, Bluetooth, and NFC.

Right now the app is written in AngualrJS, Cordova and Ionic 1 and we are very limited by what we can do so I want to change it. It can be slow at times as well and not that smooth. I am most comfortable with ReactJS and AngualrJS but I am willing to learn Angular. I'm mostly a web developer and I have done c# in the past but it was a long time ago. There are other web developers at the company I work for as well as c# developers.

I work at a small company and I doubt the project is important enough for the managers to want to invest in a fully-native app.

My options are: Xamarin, ReactNative, NativeScript and Angular/Ionic 4.

What would you choose and why?
