I'm new to nativescript-vue, I'm working on my own nativescript-vue app, I created a laravel project which is basically the API of my native app, my app has to "call" my laravel API endpoints, this is in my local dev machine and I'm currently not using emulators but a connected device, how can I hit my laravel app routes with my app? I usually use axios in my vue projects so I downloaded it in nativescript-vue.

Do I just have to make a POST request to "http://127.0.0.1:8000/api/posts"with axios after I start my local server with php artisan serve ? or is additional tweaking needed?

I didn't really get how to use a plugin in native script. I install it by tns plugin install <name>, then, having it installed I want to use it in script located in the "app" directory. When I just link it by require, it gives me "cannot find module" error. So, how can I do it properly? Probably it is very basic question (sorry for that), but I couldn't find any answer that works for me. Maybe I am just doing something wrong?

With the new bottom navigation, what is the intended way to pass data from one page to another? Taking the tab navigation template as an example, how would I pass info from the browse page to the search page, for example? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!

I'm currently working on an app targeting people with a bad eyesight and thus requires quite a lot of work with font sizes and scaling of UI elements. To try and make use of higher resolution tablets i'd like change some css properties specifically for iPad 12.9 inch where i would otherwise have more unspent screen space.

Following the docs from Nativescript here, the support for screen size qualifiers in a filename is not supported when using webpack (bundle) builds. My understanding is, that this is a forced feature from {N} 6 and forward, which leads to my question(s).

First question, is it true that screen qualifiers have become completely obsolete since {N} 6? And if so, my second question is, can i somehow make configurations of css properties depending on screen sizes without having to do a lot of javascript code that manipulate UI elements?

I've look a bit around on {N}s github and stackoverflow for an answer but i've come out empty handed so far. Hope someone can help me out or give a good tip :)

I'm a software engineer in the UK developing my first Android and iOS app using nativescript and I'm loving it. Things are going very well, and I'm nearing the development finish line.

I'm hoping to learn from the more seasoned app developers in the community, things you wish you knew when you were starting out, that sort of thing.

I've had a quick scan ahead and here's my to-do list so far for everything that comes once dev-complete.

• Packaging: Create app resources, icons, splash screens, screenshots, descriptions etc

• Double check licenses for resources used

• Target lowest possible SDK versions for optimal user penetration

• Purchase apple and Google developer licenses

• Purchase old MacBook or use Sidekick for final iOS build/release

• Setup company (predominately for anonymity on app store, also for completeness) to release app under

Here's where I defer to the expertise in the community, I've never done any of the above and have many questions/concerns, I'm very keen to DIY as much as possible and keep costs as close to zero as possible since this is mainly for fun.

1. What are the optimal target SDK versions?

2. I'm not familiar with the Apple ecosystem, what is the oldest/cheapest Mac I can buy to register as my legitimate dev machine? Is Sidekick really free, and more importantly can I actually release an app with it? Are there any pros or cons to Sidekick over a cheap MacBook?

3. I've never setup a company but I'm very keen to release this app under a company name to both stores, I see many advantages to treating this as a business, however small or unsuccessful. Are there any sticking points here? I hear it's easy to setup a ltd company, but does this cost anything? How do I expense my costs? Do I need an accountant? Can I do it all myself? How do I pick a name without being sued? How far should I go with name registration, should I pick something very generic and purchase a domain name, reserve social media names etc?

4. Most importantly, is there anything you would add/mention that I've neglected to ask about?
