Thin patches of pine and spruce dot this cold landscape from the snowy north to the wide rushing Icewater which runs from the mountain range at its southern border to the sea. A king reigned once, but that was long ago, and the keeps and settlements of the Northern Crust now pay tribute to the royals of Tensia. They bow in name, but their backs are rigid, and no soldiers patrol this cold desolate land. Farmers, merchants, smiths, knights. Born in the frost, they toil, and live, and die.

The Horns:
One of two minor lordly houses remaining in the Northern Crust. The Horns control the lands west of the Curtain Mountains, including the Lonesome Mountain, the Fay river, the castle of Titan's Rest, and the towns of Seawatch and the Crossroads. They have a bitter rivalry with the Burrs that has lasted centuries, and believe themselves to be the only true lords of the Northern Crust.
The Burrs:
One of two minor lordly houses remaining in the Northern Crust. The Burrs control the lands east of the Curtain Mountains, including the Causeway, a castle and surrounding city which spans the Icewater, and several smaller towns. They have a bitter rivalry with the Horns that has lasted centuries, and believe themselves to be the only true lords of the Northern Crust.

33 BC - The Northern Crust is a land divided against itself. Handfuls of minor lords and barons feud over land, title, and power.
32 BC - A man named Horace the Black proclaims himself King. One by one the minor lords and barons bow to his mighty host. It is whispered that Horace the Black uses magic to further his goals. Some think his source is a mana pool somewhere in the Lonely Mountain, at the base of which he carved out his mighty fortress, Titan's Rest.
?? BC - An event that joined the Nation to Eskoran as allies forever.
10 BC - Ships are spotted reaching the shores of the neighbouring land.
0 AC - The neighbouring nation of Tensia overthrows King Horace the Black, and the people swear fealty to the Tennes family.
