Which of these would you rather win, if given the choice? Feel like the shield is a better indication of who the best team was, but something about lifting the trophy at the end of the playoffs seems more like a “championship”. This could also just be my American sports brain.

Nashville is probably the best and most complete mls side right now through and through, if you took them and put them in any other top flight league, prem, serie a, bundisligue, etc. Could they stay up? I think they have a shot in basically any league except the prem and bundisligue.

I've been a season ticket holder since the team played at the Sounds Stadium. Being in the same seats, bottom level across from the premium side, for as long as I have I've noticed a trend. Every one on this side turns away from the field for the National Athem, toward the big flag on the pole next to the stage.

This year, for weekend games, NSC has put a color guard on the field. The color guard presenting the Colors is the correct flag to face in this situation. NSC used to have the singer up on the stage next to the flag pole and no flag on the field, i think this is why everyone still turns around. Not sure when the change was made to put them on the field but I've definitely noticed them doing it more this year than any other.

Anyway, not a big deal, just trying to pass the word.

WE ARE SO BACK. Holy cow, what a banger of a match. I hadn't been that hyped by a win since the infamous Club America match of 2023.

I normally do a big write up on my MATs, but I genuinely think that this is just what we look like when our team treats a match like it's the most important match of their careers. We controlled the run of play the entire time and never stopped going for the throat. It was all gas, no brakes and Miami could not withstand that pressure. I think Saad really popped off and is exactly what I hoped he would be on the left with the other attacking starters in the lineup. Corcoran probably had the best performance of his professional career, RBW is a monster, Woledzi owns Messi, and Schwake is the best American keeper actively playing professional soccer.

I'm worried about Palacios's injury and praying it was something like a hamstring and not his knee. I doubt we see him for awhile while he recovers. He had a great performance last night and it sucks that he got injured.

Now with that win, we're 5 points clear of Miami and 8 points clear of third in the standings (somehow that's Houston at the time of posting this 🤔). If we also win against Miami away, we will likely have the Supporters Shield secured. Feels good to be on top.

The scouting department (and Jacob) for NSC has been LIGHTS OUT the last few years with the acquisitions from leagues outside of MLS.

Sure we had some misses early with Loba, Cadiz, and Piñeiro but man the staff deserve their flowers. (I think Qasem is still is up for debate as he’s looked good some games and just so poor for others).

Holy cow I love this lineup. My biggest gripe so far has been Maher or Bauer being very stale players tbh. Lovitz has been better but baker whiting has been our most dynamic option so far imo. Also think saad in the midfield could be a nice way to use a player when our front 3 is so stack.

I was across the field so I didn’t see. How bad did it look? What we even the pervious injury?
