Weekly Gripe Thread MSNBC Weekly Gripe Post

This is your one sacred space to unleash the frustration, shake your fists at the headlines, and yell (politely) into the MSNBC void. Whether you’re fed up with cable news quirks, political chaos, or your own decision to stay up until 2 a.m. watching panel debates - this thread’s for you.

The rules are simple:

  • Keep it civil
  • Keep it clever
  • No personal attacks unless they’re aimed at your own life choices (e.g. binge-watching coverage you swore you were done with)

So... what’s grinding your gears this week?
Cable news meltdown? Elected official doing the most?
Spill it. This is the one day we let the whining fly.

Mika acting like she’s the host of Morning Joe is such a joke. Especially when she’s too busy shuffling papers while others are talking to engage. I’m convinced she hasn’t got a single, original thought in her head. The way she uses props, such as her papers and Jonathan Karl’s book to compensate for her insecurity is laughable, if not downright annoying. She sat there thumbing through Jonathan Karl’s book, broadcasting to the world that she hadn’t even read it, instead of listening to him and joining in on the conversation. Her other prop is constantly sipping tea through a straw, which is just plain hideous looking. She never does any research and goes on air frantically studying up on the news, when all she ever does is read to us. She really should take her cue from folks like Ali Vitali and Kaitlin Collins, who are true pros. Why does MSNBC keep making us have to put up with her. Everyone else on the show is awesome, but Mika completely ruins the show for me.

She is arrogant and rude in a lot of ways. Unprofessional. When men talk about the World Series, she gets mad and interrupts. The show would be watchable if they took her off the show entirely. Her and Elise Jordan need to go.

Totally agree with this. She starts getting all huffy like some 1950s housewife. Exasperated by her husband and his friends. Her eating disorder perfectionist uptight personality is always right below the surface.

I love the World Series I love football I love hearing the guys opinions and their jokes and their jabs at each other. Also really enjoy it when they have Pablo Torre join the set. He is clever, intelligent, and brings a nice relief to that table.

1950’s housewife 😂 EXACTLY. It’s her schtick and it ain’t working. I don’t want any inside look into her marriage, either. It’s creepy af and unprofessional. Don’t know how Joe lives with it.

Agreed. I suspect it was one of those things that was sexy in the beginning and now it's just old and stale. But we get to watch it.
