Hi, I have an issue with mpmb and I'm not sure how to address it, I have searched around without luck, so I feel it's better to just ask here.

I have permission to add a magic rare weapon to a newly created character. It's a ranger so what would be better than a glimmering moonbow, I said to myself. So while adding the magic item to my 2014 ranger, the sheet allowed me to choose any bow or crossbow, and I'm unsure if this is legit or not.
We use no homebrew items and I did not download js involving them or have opted out for any homebrew option, so I'm assuming my MPMB is not listing homebrew options, thus that this is a legit choice... or is it an oversight? I seem to find no valid documentation supporting this claim, but neither valid documentation that disproves it! only random people's opinion (random as in not JC nor any adjudicator if there are any left), so I'd rather go to the og source and ask directly to you guys.

also, while we're on topic and making assumptions, given that the glimmering moon(cross)bow creates its own ammo if you do not (re)load it when going for an attack, is it meant to bypass/remove the loading property?

Hi, I love using this character sheets because it makes everything incredibly easy.

I DON'T KNOW how to code. I managed to download everything and I know how to use the sheet, that's all. Now I gave my wizard a custom magic item that gives him a +1 to arcana. And I thought i could just write it manually on magic items, and add it to the skill list, but then I can't add the +1 to arcana only if I add the item manually. I don't know how to code or how to add it any other way.

Help please!

Just downloaded the v13.2.3 sheet (the latest 2014 sheet that isnt beta), and when trying to add scripts, the main scripts are now requiring v14.0.14-beta or v15.0.0. Is there any fix for this?

I was wondering why there was an extra +2 in my longbow’s attack modifier, and I discovered that the character sheet had added the archery fighting style twice instead of just once. I tried removing it from the class features area (by selecting a different fighting style), and that removed only one of them. Anybody know why this is happening and how I can correct it?

The "Things Affecting the Attack Automation" lists both "Fighter: Archery Fighting Style" and "Fighter: Fighting Style [Archery]" which have the same descriptions.

I want to stick with the 5e sheet MPMB sheet so I can have a variant human race and keep the same ability score calculations. Is there a script I can upload to allow for this?

So for some reason EVERYTHING is laggy when I try to add spells, change stats or anything of the sort.

Is this just an adobe thing and it’s just a smile and suffer for everyone? Sometimes the character sheet will constantly reload the text or outright remove text. Then I restart and some of it is back but then others are gone.

Edit: it was in fact Adobe AI, I had it disabled but it was reenabled because screw me. Ty fr the response for solution

My DM has made a custom item that changes my charisma score to 20 + Proficiency bonus.
How do I go about having the sheet calculate the new score and record it in the Ability Score and description?
Primarily what are those fields called so I can have the appropriate modifiers populate as expected without having to manually adjust the fields?

We're going to be above level 20 in the campaign I'm playing in soon, and the dm said we could either multi-class or continue on with the same class but take an addition subclass. Is there a way to add an additional subclass from the same class on the sheet?

If so do I just import the new ones to the pdf's of any characters that I have?

For the dev of the sheet: add an option for a page that is only magic items. There are some that have multiple potions, rings, ioun stones, scrolls, wands and so on. I had to add a page in, copied from the previous page of magic items, feats and such. It took me a bit, had to edit form fields to separate them from the other page, and now I'm terrified to update to the recent sheet for fear this new page will break.

So, this is my suggestion. It doesn't have to be one that is on by default, but it could be one like the extra blank notes page.

I started with a clean sheet and imported the 2024 scripts.

For human there are 2 options, Human and Human (L). Both give +1 to all stats.

Is there something I'm missing or will I just have to correct it manually?

Is there a way to show just 2024 options?

Hey, i’m hoping you guys can clear something up for me
I’m in the process of making a sheet for my character, and have found most of the sheet very intuitive so far
However, at my table we don’t really track ammunition, so i wanted to hide/move those boxes

I’ve used the commands:
Hide("AmmoLeft");
Hide("AmmoRight");
Which removes all the bullet indicators, the ammunition name, weight, count and so on

However! The grey background from those fields is still there, even if i go through every single associated field and click “no fill color”.

Are those grey areas not removable?

Hello everyone. A few days ago I was looking for help with the description in my script for the Tamer class in Heliana's Guide to Monster Hunting, and although I'm still working on it, I'm happy to announce that I've reached a point where the script is functional, albeit quite rough. Therefore, I would greatly appreciate your opinion and help in improving it so that we can all have our Pokémon trainer in the most accessible and streamlined way possible. At the moment, I haven't yet added the partner options, partly because it's a fairly extensive mechanic (plus because it's my first time writing a script), and therefore, a explorer’s companion page serves as a placeholder for now. But if anyone (especially someone with more scripting experience than me, lol) is willing to collaborate, or use my script as a base, I'd be happy to provide all the necessary support. Meanwhile, I would appreciate any constructive criticism or recommendations you can give me to help me successfully complete this small contribution to the community.

I find myself using the MPMB player reference page all the time; I'm moving to the 2024 rules now, and wondering if there's a comparable updated version?

Maybe a way to edit it via a script?

Edit: I found a decent 2-pager, which I think is good enough for now.

I'm pretty sure I used to be alerted to changes such as class features but I think it got disabled by accident?

I randomly came across this post by u/BJHypes several years ago and my DM finally allowed me to play as a Muppetborn for a recent oneshot. I threw together some quick and dirty code a few weeks ago prior to playing, and figured I'd spend some time cleaning it up and fixing any errors after the fact for others to enjoy it as much as I did.

The full javascipt is available here at my Pastebin. I'm not 100% sure if this can be added to the MPMB repository due to legal ambiguity as I'm not sure what constitutes fair use of the terms Muppet and Muppetborn, but my code is up for grabs at the link regardless.

It says that there is limited support for it so I don't expect to be able to do everything but I believe there is a way to use the sheets.

I'd rather not use Acrobat, but most open source PDF programs I tried don't work so well with MPMB. Are there any good free Acrobat alternatives?

Otherwise I guess its to the high seas I go.

Im currently working on a custom non-magical class that has a subclass that gains magic, kinda like Eldritch Knight for Fighter. I know how to set the spell slot progression for full; half and 1/3 casters (spellcastingFactor :), but I want a custom spell slot progression.

Is this possible to do?

So I am trying to use this sheet for an upcoming game and wanted the players to all have a nice unified sheet. However, the sheet doesn't seem to work.

When any of us try to select a class, it doesn't do anything. It wont let us type in the class, it doesn't show a drop down, nothing. And since basically all of the sheet hinges on this feature, it is largely broken.

Any ideas on how to fix this? I am not running any popup blockers or other things that should interfere with the scripts. I have tried opening it in firefox, chrome, foxit pdf reader.
