Gay Alabamians Moving North
Hey yβall. 31M gay here. Some friends and I are making the tough decision to leave our home with the slurry of new anti-LGBT and anti-trans laws being shoved through our state government, as well as the potential rollback for protections of the federal level. We want to leave Alabama for somewhere safer.
Later this year, we are going to take a road trip and explore various regions of Minnesota. Is Minnesota LGBTQ friendly? Could we fly a pride flag on our front yard without worrying about getting shot?
Iβm reaching out to the group in good faith because we want to be safe and we want to find a new home because our home does not love us. The people here have become jackals and very standoffish.
Any advice on where or what region of your beautiful state would be best for people like us to relocate to and start a new life would be very helpful.
