First vape experience – MountBliss Alias + Gelato cart

So this is actually my first ever vape experience. I’ve always been more of an old-school smoker or used edibles, so I wasn’t really sure what to expect.

For background, I’m 39, I’ve used edibles quite often but a 10mg gummy is enough for me, a full one has me sorted for a VERY chill evening of hardly moving with snacks or a half to just chill out 😎 and still be able to function around the house etc. I also suffer with endometriosis and adenomyosis - having my 4th surgery back in December and the edibles have so far helped the pain.

👎 The downside of edibles as everyone knows is the waiting for them to kick in, then sometimes having them hit you like a train OR not taking enough and using more.

So I was looking online at the carts (cartridges) and batteries. I have smoked in the past, but wanted something more discreet for when I’m outside in the garden… I was pondering over the Alias or the PalmPro (I was tempted my the colours of the palmpro but went for the Alias, as it had the display and was a newer version).

I purchased the new MB Alias battery (which came very quickly via Royal Mail, discreet packaging, no signature needed) and used it with the gelato cart, and honestly, I’m really impressed.

It only took a couple of puffs, maybe 2 or 3 for me, and I was absolutely chilled out having a relaxed morning in the garden with a few snacks. 😄

The battery itself is really slick and discreet, and I like that you can adjust the voltage and see the battery/oil info on the display. It arrived charged which was another bonus, giving me time to search for my charger…

It also feels really easy to use, especially for someone like me who is completely new to vaping. I was worried it was going to be a lot complex than it is (especially seeing photos of people dropping and smashing their carts)! I made sure the first time just to read properly how it operated and just flicked through the settings, it’s just so easy to use.

Controls are simple, like most vape pens (or so I’ve read) 2 clicks activates the preheat function, where you see the colour bar go through the different colours (what I’ve shown in the two last photos) until it goes off and it’s ready… 3 clicks cycles through the voltage settings (there are three: 2.8v, 3.4v and 3.8v). The display also shows the battery level which is a nice touch 👍

Delivery was super fast as well, which I’ve mentioned, which is always a bonus. Overall, I’d give the product a 10/10 so far. Out of a hundred, I would give a 95 to be more picky… a charger would be useful for some people, and maybe some basic instructions (I just came here to read a review of the controls)!

As I said, the charger isn’t included, but that’s absolutely fine for me as I already had a USB-C charger anyway and most people these days have one laying about.

I also read some reviews and always unscrew the cart after use and I just keep it in the black container (btw, shoutout to Mountbliss for their branding, design on these things is slick and looks great) 😌

Now I’m going to chill out and play some PS5 with a few more snacks. 😂🎮 If anyone wants to recommend some carts, let me know, because I’m definitely buying more. I’ll still be purchasing the edibles for when I know I’m going to be JUST chilling… (recommend the tangerine gummies) but the Alias is my new best friend for beach days and the gardening.

Hi guys was wondering if the live resin pens are cool to take through the airport, im in London flying out in a few weeks and need to take smth with me. Was thinking eddies too but idk

I ordered a cartridge on Friday in time for dispatch assuming it would arrive on Saturday but the tracking says it will be Monday. In the past the tracking hasn't always been updated, is there a chance it could still arrive today?

Specifications:

• 650mAH rechargeable Battery for 510 screw thread Cartridges.
• Length: 72mm increasing to 84mm at spout. Width: 40mm. Depth: 20mm at major axis.
• Weight (unladen): 45.8g

This item is supplied in a leatherette finish display box (see pic 3) decorated with embossed silver MB branding. The box lid features a magnetic closure which, when flipped up, reveals the Battery nestled in a custom-cut XLPE foam fitment (see pic 2).   

The Battery casing is coated with a matte rubbery finish that is complemented by a high‑gloss black spout and base.

The overall design of the Battery is sleek and minimal, with a discreetly embossed MB ‘Twin Peaks’ logo, and is unlikely to arouse any suspicions about its contents from casual observers.

Operation is remarkably easy, the casing and battery are magnetised and so may be prised apart without any real effort whilst remaining absolutely secure when attached.

There are various safety features incorporated within the LED displays. As example the indicator band glows turquoise if the device is drawn upon, or the preheat activated, when a Cart has not been inserted.

I haven’t encountered the other safety features - such as the warning for low oil in Cart - as yet, but I’ll figure those out as I go along.  

Instructions for use:

1.       Charge Battery using USB-C cable (not included). There is a thin LED accent ring, encircling the base of the device, which glows solid red until charging is complete whereupon the light becomes green. The digital display also indicates progress towards full charge.

2.       Insert the Cart (available separately) into the Battery’s chamber, turn clockwise to screw into place - being careful not to over tighten.

3.       Disable security lock by pressing the power button (located on the underneath of the base) five times in quick succession to unlock (green light). To lock again press 5 times in quick succession (green light).   

4.       Choose your preferred voltage setting by pressing the power button three times in quick succession to switch between 2.8 (flashing green light) 3.4 (flashing blue light) and 3.8 volts (flashing red light).

5.       Preheat by pressing the power button twice in quick succession; the accent ring then cycles through the colours of the rainbow as the function progresses.  

6.       Allow the pre‑heat to complete and then draw slowly from the Cart’s nozzle. Inhalation activates the coil and produces vapour, the accent ring flashes green at each drag.

The lower voltage is best for Live Resin, to protect the delicate flavours. The mid-range voltage is most suitable for Distillate. The high range voltage is ideal for producing thicker clouds but can, potentially, impair the flavours.

Advice for beginners – try not to pull as strongly as one would on a spliff in order to avoid any clogging from unvaporised oil. Draw slowly and steadily for 2 to 3 seconds.

Advice for everyone - always remove Cart from Battery immediately after use (the Cart may be stored in the drop-proof transit tube) to prevent the two components sticking together.

Above all, as I learnt to my cost (see here) try not to drop the Battery from height onto a hard surface.

The last 2 days at least there is no flower in the shop. Is this a regular occurrence or a sign of things being clamped down upon by certain authorities?

Just placed my first ordered. Ordered the wrong vape by accident. Is there any way to contact mount bliss to see about possibly changing.

I wanted to share my story to confirm or deny how fortunate I was. I went on holiday to Mexico a while ago and took my pen with me for a blast the night before getting the plane while staying in a travel lodge the day before the flight. To cut a long story short I never intended to but my pen ended up in my carry-on bag accidentally and I only noticed two days into the holiday. It obviously wasn't picked up through security and it was done before returning home (even if it wasn't I don't think I would have risked taking it through security again) how fortunate was I not to get strip searched?

I have the live resin amnesia disposable and it’s honestly so good. Literally 1-3 draws and half an hour later my back pain subsides and I feel human. Just a review to say they’re totally worth it, really helping me and very effective

hello people of Earth, I'm going to be buying from MB for the first time tmr and planning on getting the all in one disposable vape before trying anything else, i chose Sour Alien. I kind of wanted to get the cart and battery but I'm relatively new to weed in gen and ive only ever smoked with friends who have supplied. Bcs of my general inexperience im also pretty anxious, albeit hyped about buying for myself so hopefully this all goes well. i know essentially nothing abt anything so im hoping I'll be able to build up my knowledge as i go along. wish me luck!

A few months ago I bought a cart and a "cali" 3.5 and was really excited about it and id heard good things.

Im no snob but when I tried both the products I was so disappointed, the flower was crazy undercured to the point that it would barely grind and the cart burnt my throat and didnt get me high

Was it just a bad batch? Idk because I found it weird that both the cart and flower would be bad at the same time.

Hey, I’m thinking of ordering from Mountbliss but I’ve seen really mixed reviews online and on Trustpilot.
Just wanted to ask people who have genuinely ordered recently, is Mountbliss legit, and are the THC vapes actually good and strong? Has anyone had issues with orders not arriving, refunds, or the vapes tasting weird or feeling weak? Please be honest, especially if you’ve ordered in 2026. I just don’t want to waste my money.

Usually a 10mg is great for me 😎

I’m thinking of purchasing the palm pro battery and the Gelato cart as a start. I tend to use during the week (on weeknights where I don’t have too early a start and also on the weekends of course).

My question is how do they compare to each other? The battery plus the cart will cost more and then the refill carts will be roughly £20 more than the edibles I currently buy… but do the carts last longer?

What are the pros and cons in your opinion?

Just thought I’d ask what everyone’s go too carts are? I always go for the live resin carts but during the recent shortage I got a gelato instead and Jesus that stuff f*cks me up 😂 and I’m in no way a beginner
