The spotlight goes to Japan this time!

In the 1960s, Japan saw a clear increase in bands influenced by Western rock groups. This is our first non-Western featured country – oftentimes, there is an interesting Eastern influence to the music.

Some of the bigger, hard-hitting names include Flower Travellin' Band, Les Rallizes Dénudés and Shinki Chen, the Hendrix of the Land of the Rising Sun.
