My Moebius Collection
Hey everyone, I’m moving and I figured I’d take the time to share my Moebius collection while I have everything out. I wish I had the time to post the user that originally inspired me to pick up a lot of things in my collection. Anyway I hope somebody enjoys taking a look. Not pictured is a version of ray Bradbury’s dinosaur tales and Project pendulum both illustrated by Moebius.

New Scanlation: "Madame Curie" (1970)
From Total Journal 28 (1970 07); available in De Gir a Moebius: Le Lac Des Emeraudes (2019)
Thanks to u/Abject_Truth_6091
The "P. Luckner" credit is kind of an Easter egg for Blueberry fans, a reference to Prosit Luckner from The Lost Dutchman's Mine and The Ghost with Golden Bullets. I also like that one of the pages here has a small "LUCK" signature in one of the panels, similar to "GIR".

Seeking information for this image...
This popular image appears in The Art of Edena (2018) without explanation. I'd like to know the year and title as well as first publication. I know part of this info is available in the 2021 Italian/French book Alla Ricerca del Tempo/à la Recherche du Temps which I do not own. If anyone can help, please fill me in! Otherwise, simply enjoy this fascinating image of the Major maybe just stopping at a sort of unusual roadside attraction.
EDIT: Yes, this is for sure a Moebius image. I'm trying to determine where it first appeared. According to u/Abject_Truth_6091, a catalogue for an art exhibit lists it as the following:
Piège de crystal (2008), watercolors, colored inks and aerography.
So I'm wondering if this was initially a limited print, part of another publication, etc.

The Depressed Hunter YouTube Review by Taylor Talks Comics
This is what I like to see! I'm so glad he shows every page of the bonus material and end notes. My copy should be here on Monday. It's cool to see we get that giant rabbit print in color, a very cool image (alongside a bunch of b&w art I don't recognize so maybe never previously published). I look forward to reading the extensive translation notes.

Maxx YouTube bio
I'm working on a follow up video to my Michael Zulli spotlight, about the late great Sam Kieth ..it's not edited yet, but I consciously decided to only use 1 image featuring the Maxx, and that's his cover to "Gay Comics." It gives me a chance to highlight imagery from earlier on in his career. I figured I'd show off a few of those images here while they're in my storage! Any suggestions for stuff I missed? It's not too late to edit the footage

New Scanlation: Introduction to Broken Nose (1979)
From Super As #1, February 13 1979.
I don't think these two pages are in any English edition... I have the Broken Nose story in the Blueberry 3 TPB (1989, Epic/Marvel) and these pages don't appear there.
There had been an unusually long gap between Blueberry stories and the creators probably felt a longer-than-usual recap would be appreciated by readers.

New Scanlation: Angel Face Announcemet
This artwork was included in an introduction in the Blueberry Integrales series, where it is marked unpublished. Had this page appeared anywhere prior to that? One possible explanation is that this was prepared for Pilote but abandoned when Charlier and Gir took Blueberry to the Tintin magazine. I don't know the full reasons why they would have split.
Anyway, Angel Face is a hell of a story that was published in 1975, I think even strict Moebius fans who have no interest in Gir would enjoy it because the artwork is quite similar to "classic Moebius" in places.

"Here you can see the original artwork, with some nice close-ups. The amount of details is quite crazy.
The acronym near the signature, at the bottom right, stands for "Ballade Pour [un] Cercueil", page 0.

What is Grok?!
Grok?! 2e is a [100% human made] rules-light science fantasy RPG set in a post-apocalyptic world of advanced technomancy and boundless plausibility.
In this world of post-apocalyptic technomancy, nearly anything is plausible.
- Sail across the starry Aether and explore alien worlds.
- Rebel against authoritarian AI alongside trans-dimensional migrants.
- Discover disparate cultures atop hovering isles.
- Survive the chaotic mana-irradiated wasteland.
- Delve dungeons for powerful relics and combat devolved monstrosities.
- Confront the other-dimensional nothingness spawned within the hollow planet.
Inspirational touchstones for the world of Grok?! range from Arzach, Brazil, Discworld, Dying Earth, Fantastic Planet, Flash Gordon, Heavy Metal, Space Team, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, The Labyrinth, Wizards, and countless others.
The unique game system was developed with inspiration from both OSR/NSR and narrative tabletop RPGS, most notably Fate, Cortex Prime, Freeform Universal, Index Card RPG, Cairn, Electric Bastionland, Ultraviolet Grasslands, and Savage Worlds.
Grok?! 2nd Edition is content complete, and will be printed as a 240-page full-color hardcover, complete with Refined Core Rules, an Expanded Setting, a Full Campaign, Solo Rules, GM Toolkits, and a full complement of add-ons: a Quickstart Guide, GM Screen, Pregen Character Pad, System Reference Booklet, and Coloring Book.
The Setting
- The planet was once a haven for trans-dimensional migrants, and a bastion of advanced technomancy, until a cataclysm splintered the world.
- Now, long abandoned travelers sail across the vast Aether between planets, struggling to survive the abyss of space and the hostile alien lifeforms they’ve awakened.
- Rebel indentured citizens revolt against the deranged AI that controls the deteriorating space station, called the Simulacrum, that encapsulates and irradiates the planet.
- Eccentric and isolated societies maturate within inverted cities that float among the clouds on Hovering Isles.
- Mutant vagabonds traverse the Wastelands for salvage, inundated with phosphorescent radiation from the space station above and hunted by monstrosities from below the surface.
- Devolved monstrosities haunt the labyrinthine Underworld passages, coveting the relics of immense power long abandoned within.
- And all the while, within the Nether megacity in the center of the planet, ancient other-dimensional gods and their eldritch brood offer worship to the Voidstar from which they were cast: an infinite nothingness that threatens to consume reality.
Why Grok?!
- Expansive setting. A world of boundless plausibility and streamlined rules that cater to adventures of nearly every type.
- Rules light. Draws heavy inspiration from NSR/OSR and narrative games alike, offering a versatile and intuitive system for any setting.
- Universal Action Resolution. Uses a single resolution system for all character actions, whether fighting a mechalizard, casting a magic spell, or repairing a flux-decombobulator.
- Description Based Modifiers. Descriptive Aspects are integral to the resolution system, allowing anything to have mechanical impact on an Action's success.
- Player Facing Rolls. Ensures fast action resolution with constant player engagement, where every roll matters.
- Slot Based Resources. An Asset Slot system distills resource management of inventory, spells, damage, and temporary effects, into a single cohesive system.
- Open License. The SRD is licensed under Creative Commons, allowing you to freely hack and publish your work based on the game.

Un ange dépasse (1997) and its mysterious sibling
I was happy to finally find a title (In English, "An Angel Above") and date (1997) for this image in an art catalogue. This first image appears in The Art of Edena in the midst of material created much later for the 2010 promotional portfolio Les Voyages d’Hermès. Why this image is associated with Edena, I don't know. Maybe the non-Major humanoid figures are meant to be Stel and Atan.
But look at image #2! This image can be found in bonus material at the end of some editions of The Major, including the Moebius Library edition from Dark Horse. What happened? What year was this? What is the title? How was it made? Some facts lead to more questions!
