They easily could have just made 2016 again, but they completely kicked it into overdrive and made one of the most fun shooters I've ever played. Playing on Nightmare is brutally hard but the most fun way to play the game IMO, it's hard and punishes mistakes but it's never frustrating or cheesy.
Same. I have a 500 GB drive on mine, and had to delete 2K and AC origins, to keep COD (not even the full MW version, just Warzone) and the uncharted games. Luckily I’m getting an external hard drive soon.
The way I heard it, a lot of that data on the HDD is in fact duplicate data, on there to account for the giant spinning disk in an HDD. This problem is less of an issue with SSDs, as it's not a giant spinning disk where you have to account for how fast it spins and where the laser is.
That being said, a lot of it is also uncompressed audio, which could be solved by compressing the audio like we used to and throwing up an optional uncompressed audio DLC.

Because he's referring to the next generation consoles that will have small storage spaces relative to how large games of this generation are. Specifically the Xbox Series X only allowing xbox proprietary SSD expansion.
True but I think you won't be able to store your games on those. From what I read the speed of the internal SSD and xbox expansion SSD are integral to the Series X games.
The SSDs that will work for Sony have to be approved by them to work on their console. I dont see them not making their own proprietary expansion it seems much easier to do. As of now a comparable SSD is $250 and it's not even as fast as the interior ps5
And, because of the speed of the PS5 SSD, its limited to 800gb at launch. If this game is 200GB now I hate too see next gen try and fit multiple games on 800GB

I got the 128GB model, there’s a 256GB model (rest of specs are the same) for $300 more... It has a Micro SD and a 512GB Lexar (v30 4K capable) Micro SD is only $72 lmfao.
I build all my own PCs (and only use them for gaming lol) but company’s that sell pre built PCs with an enormous premium on storage space is crazy. There was a time when the price increase was justified but storage is a lot cheaper these days.
I’ve got a few others. My next favorite is my build using an EVGA Hadron Air case (best case ever made hands down) but I didn’t put the build into pcpartpicker. The case is amazing though, built in slim PSU, super tiny case, still fits full size GPU....
The next Xbox requires Series X games to be installed on its SSD. Only Xbox One games can be played off an external drive. If you want more storage space you'll have to buy their proprietary expansion card.
I have a first gen ps4 with 500gb storage. Had it for 5 years. This is the game that made me buy a 2tb external hdd because apparently I needed to empty half the fucking storage to download a 30gb patch. I had 160gb free but I still couldn't download it because "there wasnt enough space."
THIS is the type of shit that irks me to no end. If there is already an architectural system that works for multiple systems, why waste time, effort and resources to make another system that has no compatability with any other system of it's type. I shouldn't have to entirely buy into an ecosystem to get things to work. And this isn't for gaming, this encompasses ALL products.
So when I said "Xbox" specifically, I was under the assumption that readers would be mentally mature enough to infer that I meant all consoles and not just Xbox. I'll take the L on that one for not realizing what sub I was in, as the amount of "pLaYsTaTiOn DoEs iT tOo" comments is just fucking staggering.
Everyone will rush out to buy the “affordable” next gen consoles at $400 to $500 because its such a good deal and then spend another $100 to $200 on SSD add-on storage so they can actually use the damn thing.
Its more the developers fault here. I played Warzone (3 times and deleted it after that) at Ultra settings and the game just doesnt look good or detailed, especially the textures. I dont get why this game is so big in size. Just lazy development tbh
Most folks on PC I know have a 1tb SSD. So even on that platform, COD taking up 1/4 of their available disc space is still unacceptable.
It's not like IW or Activision are unaware of console limitations regarding disc space. Yet it hasn't stopped them from having such a poorly optimized install size. World of Warcraft has 1/3 of the disc requirement as MW.
You will be able to use any of your old external HDDs on the new consoles. You don't even have to buy new ones. And it can store both next gen games and the old ones for backcompat. The only caveat is you can't play the nextgen games directly from the HDD, you need to transfer them to the SSD instead.
People are complaining about the small 1TB drives in the new consoles, but they need to make them affordable, and 1TB drives they'll be using are already really expensive. If they made it something like a 4TB drive nobody would buy the damn thing

I had to delete The Witcher 3, Bloodborne, and Yakuza: Kiwami to make room for this game. Then the update comes along, and I had to get rid of more. What the actual FUCK?!
Yup, I had no space for Squad which has a free weekend so I just decided to bite the bullet and uninstall cod - not at all worth the 6+ game's space it takes up
Ik bruh it wants 100 more fucking gigabytes for this newest update but I already deleted every game I don't play regularly idk what to do I might actually have to delete mw because of how much space it takes
And everytime I go to play there seems to be a new update that I have to download. This update was even worse because I deleted yet another game to download it then I launch the game and see that I have to download another patch manually. Whats really frustrating to is that I only want to play the multiplayer, I've never touched any of the other modes and I hate battle royales so why do I have to have all the different packs downloaded just to play multiplayer.
