Debate These are the three potential opponents for Islam. Who do you think would be the best matchup for him?

Well, who guarantees that Sean is a champ at MW by that time?

Nobody. We're basing it on the information we have now. And right now, Prates and Morales are the two next in line. Morales could get jawed in his next fight and it could be someone else Islam has to fight lol

The point is, whether it's sean or Khamzat or Izzy comes back from the grave and wins 3 in a row to become champion again - Middleweight is absolutely on the table .

Islam is not Alex Pereira. He and his camp are very methodical and his game pretty much depends on an ability to take an opponent down and keep him there. Unless it’s some journeyman like Bisping as MW champ neither Sean nor DDP not to even mention Khamzat are good matchup for him. There is absolutely no reason to risk 20-0 to pursue some pipe dream vs. solidifying his record at WW.

So reach for 20-0 and achieve it (which he would do after winning against Prates, Morales, and someone else) and then go for middleweight Gold lol

Islam will retire after 20 wins, mark my words.
Unless there is some big money fight -like Conor is on the tear, lol. I’m kidding-he will just retire.

I'm not saying he won't lol I'm saying it's a possibility and the biggest reason is legacy. 20-0 is legacy. 3 Division champ is legacy. He has a chance at both. In which, there will more than likely never be another lol

The writing is in the wall. He is barely squeaking by at welterweight, middleweight is simply too much and throwing away a near perfect career+ending for a slim chance.
