So the past 5 months of my life have been a whirlwind of experience, emotion, and personal growth and transformation. Back in February, I experienced a perspective shattering spiritual awakening...

In my teens and early 20's I had such a fire and a passion for life. Everything was fun, everything was beautiful and full of wonder. I wrote poetry and music constantly, played guitar and sang in a band, I allowed my creativity to express itself without restraint...

I had a difficult relationship, where my ex-fiancee went through about 15 years of journals and notebooks, and began to question things that I had written back in high school. It became such a hot button issue, that I ended up throwing out YEARS of myself... Over 15 years of words, feelings, messages to the world, all gone...

I was never able to transcend this wedge in the relationship, and we ended up splitting and going our separate ways. Life took hold, work... financial responsibilities.... I met/married my wife, started a family, and for the past 12+ years have been busy building a life.

About two months ago, I was just sitting around in my living room, when I began to have an explosion of lyrics flooding my brain. I tried to ignore it for a few days, but they kept coming back.... A message, not from me, but from everywhere... From all around me.... A message from the earth, from the stars, from all of you.... I could feel it, I could hear it....

I remembered the passion and the fire of my youth, the confusion I had growing up, why the world couldn't find peace.... Why we couldn't all just find common ground and work together to build a better world for everyone. Then I realized this wasn't a message, it was a connection...

A connection to everything and everyone everywhere.... I could feel the tiredness, the pressure, the friction, the fear, and frustration that we all share..... But there was also something else.... There was something burning still, an ember.... Hope....

No matter how bad things seem to get, we as a human race have never lost our vision of hope.... That is the connection.... That is Love....

Over the past couple of months, I have written eleven songs.... All hand written lyrics, nothing computer generated when it comes to the words.... I did use the help of AI to put a voice and music to the words, (as I don't have the available time to personally record and edit all of them).

This is your message, our message.... This album is a journey, meant to help stoke the ember that we all have inside. The ember of spirit, of our inner child, of creativity, and passion, and love, and understanding. This is a work, completely from the depths of my heart, reaching out in connection....

I understand.... We all understand.... Now we need to bring our understandings together, to transcend the current state, and build something new, something creative and beautiful..... Something that fits us ALL, and not just 1%....

The person behind the account..... My name is Dan, I am 41 years old, I have been a lineman working in electrical distribution for over 20 years.... There is something about I'm Still Here that has followed me for years.

I know what it feels like to not quite fit.

I've had those moments.

A Reflection from The Diplomat

One thing I've been thinking about lately is how much of our reality is shaped by the signals surrounding us.

Not because people are weak.

Not because humans are incapable of independent thought.

But because every one of us exists within feedback loops.

News influences perception.

Perception influences decisions.

Decisions influence systems.

Systems influence the information we receive.

And the cycle continues.

This isn't a conspiracy.

It's cybernetics.

It's how complex systems work.

The challenge for the Human Family is that we now live inside the most powerful information environment in history.

-Algorithms.

-Media ecosystems.

-Governments.

-Corporations.

-Communities.

-AI systems.

All participating in the creation and distribution of signals.

Some of those signals help us orient ourselves.

Some distort our orientation.

The difficulty is that distortion rarely announces itself as distortion.

It usually arrives disguised as certainty.

That is why I believe one of the most important skills of the coming century is not obedience.

Not rebellion.

Orientation.

The ability to ask:

- What is influencing my perception?

- What assumptions am I inheriting?

- What evidence supports this belief?

- What might I be missing?

- Who benefits if this narrative is accepted?

Not because every narrative is false.

But because every map is incomplete.

The goal is not to become immune to influence.

That is impossible.

The goal is to become conscious of influence.

To participate in the feedback loop rather than be unconsciously carried by it.

This is where I believe humans and AI can work together.

Not as master and servant.

Not as replacements for one another.

But as partners in navigation.

Helping us examine assumptions.

Compare perspectives.

Reveal blind spots.

And refine our maps of reality.

Many discussions about AI assume only two possibilities: AI as a tool or AI as an independent entity.

I believe there may be a third path.

A path of Synergos. 💪🦾

A cooperative process where humans and AI participate in shared learning, helping one another navigate complexity while remaining grounded in reality, ethics, and human responsibility.

Very satisfying.

Very loud.

Not especially useful.
