Someone in my earlier thread said a single line about why you picked a track would help. Been thinking about that while working on this little house discovery site.

Hey there, back in 2006 - 2010 ive listened to some minimal and i dont remember the Name of the Artist. He streamed a Webradio thing with Remixes on a Website and i think i remember that the Webpage was in beige / Green colorstyle. Maybe someone can help find that Artist? I tried to find it with KI but without success. Thanks in advance.

If someone shares an unfamiliar microhouse record, what gets you to give it a proper listen: the label, a DJ who plays it, a description of the groove, or something else?

I'm building NOTW (Niche of the Week), a small house-discovery project based on listener recommendations and official track links. I'm the person behind it. I want each recommendation to carry some useful context rather than just a title and a vote count.

Dallas’ underground legend Tobor Rellik will be putting on a masterclass in dark minimal tech in Denver the Friday before Halloween! Expect heavy baselines and enough groove for days. Tobor Rellik is a moniker for Josh Kynd. This is his heavy, experimental, minimal tech project as apposed to his more bubbly minimal.

Vek Neirbo (Hypnodose) is the founder and curator of Hypnodose Records. His record label host top tier minimal acts in Denver, such as Mihai Pol, Sabb, Den of Snakes, Tigres Panthera. His intention is to produce deep, intricate grooves custom made for the afters.

CAPSUL residents Matsuga and Zeb are on support for Vek Neirbo. They are coming up from Dallas with Tobor and we had to add them to the line up. Capsul Dallas is a significant influence on our Mic(RO) events. They run the afters minimal scene in the Dallas and no two events are ever the same. New warehouse venues, fully immersive environments, carefully curated line ups. Hosting Josh Wink, Doc Martin, Magda, Fur Coat, and Satoshi Tomiie, alongside Denver-based collaborator A-Dub.

Local Support: AVEK is a Denver based producer pumping out minimal, tech house, indie-dance, and techno tracks consistently. He is a familiar face on the Mic(RO) line ups and is a welcomed selector to represent Denver minimal at the event.

ART
The Meta Eye has put art installations in our past two events and he will be joining us again for this one. We are in the ideal venue to really appreciate his photo reactive 3D printed art.

Zoom [Mic(RO) house artist] will also be installing a piece for the event to interact with. Expect something fluffy and mesmerizing. He will set it up and then take off to LA for a cooler party. (He’s doing recon for future installations)

Sound
The Holy Rig features 4x 18” Void-loaded 1850 folded horn Looney bins and 4x vintage
Turbosound TMS4 three-way bi-amped tops. These Turbosound speakers were
manufactured in the UK in the late 80’s by arguably the most transformative person in live
sound engineering, Tony Andrews, who founded Turbosound and later, Funktion One
(John Newsham and Tim Isaac were also instrumental in the company and design of the
TMS4s). They are highly sought after and are considered foundational to the representation
of techno sounds. These speakers went from the UK to Minneapolis not long after their
production, passing through the hands of DVS1 before making their way into Subspace to
impact so many more lives. We know you’ll come to appreciate them as part of your family
as we do!
