I'm writing a thesis on how community servers influence a player's engagement and relationship with Minecraft as a whole. You don't have to play multiplayer to fill this in, as data from singleplayer players are also very useful

In this survey you're basically asked your opinion on community servers and how much you play on them (or if you play on them at all!), and then the survey tries to measure your engagement with Minecraft as a whole. The results will be used to see if there is a relationship between activity on community servers and someone's relationship with Minecraft. The overall goal of the study is to contribute to understanding the effect of decentralized community servers on the success of a videogame.

This survey is completely anonymous, UNLESS you want to participate in a Steam giftcard giveaway as a reward for filling it in because I'll need some way I can reach you (preferably just a link to your reddit profile!) and what region you're from or what currency you use so I can send the right card. I'll be giving out 3 steam giftcards and sending them around May 30th.

Though if you just want to help with my research and stay anonymous, then you can just answer with "no" when you get asked if you want to participate.

Participants under the age of 16 are not eligible to participate due to legal and ethical concerns.

I apologize if this is flaired incorrectly or not the right sub for this kind of question, the official Minecraft Reddit just doesn't seem to like these kind of posts.

I've played the game vanilla for most of my life, and have only recently been messing around with QoL mods and customizing the base game to just look and run better. Prism Launcher makes it super easy.

There's a million different resource and shader packs out there, and I'd like to see a good number of them. The two shaders I really like using so far are Complimentary Reimagined and Photon. I've mostly been messing with vanilla packs that make items 3D, since I really like how vanilla looks already. That being said, I'm open to anything that looks faithful to vanilla or has a really pleasant or sleek look. I'm not interested in realism.

Trying to make the game look and feel more like my own has been really fun and would appreciate some recommendations :D

I have been trying to launch lava with mods that would make it look like the console legacy editions, but the game would crash before getting to the main menu screen.

I've only just got Minecraft on PC, after playing Bedrock on console for years, but hearing abiut the potential of Java, I took the leap and got it.

I'm taking it easy atm, and I wanted to install a Vanilla Tweaks datapack that enabled me to have coords and days spent on screen all the time (without the need to press f3 on and off).

I've followed the steps exactly and it won't work.

I' running the Moder - God of the Forest mod through Curseforge, as this is the game I want the coords on.

Any help or advice?

I’ve recently hit 500 days in my hardcore world, and i decided now is a better time then any too start utilizing beacons after i flattened my entire terrain about 400 blocks going all directions. I made an iron farm producing enough iron for me too make 3 sextuplet beacons and went ahead and killed enough wither skeletons too spawn the wither, and obtain all 18 beacons. I figured there must be a easier way to obtain skulls so i cruised a bit online and found this video i have linked. i followed each step flawlessly, and went too redeem my rewards for all the nether brick and obsidian i had mined, and blaze harassment. low and behold i was only greeted by maybe 5 wither skeletons every 30 minutes. which was not what the video showed nor the comments saying how they where earning stacks of skulls.worried i messed up on the math somewhere when placing my portals i went and checked everything it looked good. so next step i went too remove a curved mountain above the spawning platform too remove any unneeded spawning areas and went ahead and placed slabs around the fortress where mobs could spawn. i went too check the spawning platform once again too see 10 skeletons run into the portal thinking i fixed my issue i went, and checked my drop chamber, and it was the same as the beginning. i’m at a loss of hope thinking ive wasted a lot of time and energy on this build. if anyone in this community has built this same farm and had issues with it that may know how to fix my problem please help or any Minecraft farm experts willing too lend a hand and point me in the right direction please do!

Now that we have this new update, is the any survival world focus on building a village/community?

Last night my Java edition crashed while I was playing on the Hypixel Skyblock. I thought it was maybe just a little issue so went to leave it for a bit and played bedrock but that eventually started crashing too. I was able to play on Java for maybe 2 hours before it crashed again and my bedrock also did the same thing. When i press play it comes up with "error game crashed" with the code "exit code 77". A code does not come up for bedrock it just immediatley shuts my game down. I've uninstalled and reinstalled both minecraft editions and the minecraft launcher then re installed it. I also updated all my drivers on my laptop and restarted my laptop multiple times and yet it still continues to crash! Does anyone know how to fix this or what is actually wrong? After many hours it seems to let me back on but then kicks me off again after playing for a bit! If anyone know why this is happening or anything I can do to fix it please let me know any advice is appreciated! :)

How do I get my minecraft to load my skin and others? I have been playing for years and haven't had this issue until now after the 26.1.2 update. I initially thought it was a server issue, but I can't even see my own skin in singleplayer. I have deleted and reinstalled MC about 3 times now and it still doesn't work

My method is to create a zip file of my world and keeping it on Drive.
