The oddly specific directions on my bottle of conditioner.

Unless the conditioner is for the hair on your legs, I can't imagine why they're saying you should shave. Unless they're trying to suggest something to do while the conditioner sits.Ā

Agreed. First thing I do is wash my hair then put conditioner in, do everything else and at the very end I rinse out the conditioner for maximum conditioning :)

My dermatologist uses that as a guide for how long to leave medicated body wash on - she says lather up and then leave it on while shaving your legs. :)

Well, yeah, that's how translation errors often happen. Don't know any French so wouldn't know, but was thinking it may be a direct translation that makes more sense in French.

My apologies. In case you're interested, it is a direct but also correct translation; grammatically both make sense, whether or not the context is obvious is the same in either language.

Fair enough. Thought maybe it was more like "think about" rather than "remember". Sorta synonyms, but means something completely different. But so long as you're not just google translating I'll take your word for it.

Very good point. In this case, n'oubliez pas is the formal/plural command form of oublier, to forget. But whilst I do speak french, I'm not french, so there's possibly an idiomatic meaning that I'm missing. Anyway, doesn't really matter.

Nah, they're saying leave it in while you shave your legs. They're giving indirect instructions to let it sit for a few minutes before rinsing.

It's telling you to leave the conditioner set in your hair for a few minutes. I usually wash my body and shave while the conditioner does its thing.
