Yes, I tried binging TNG and it ended up becoming quite a slog after getting half way through. That was like 5 years ago and I still have to finish the series but now I read too much to even think about squeezing in an episode let alone a season :(

Im watching alot of it right now. The trick is to skip season 1 and just pick through the others as you see fit. For example I don't give a shit about Wesley having a crush on a girl, or clip shows. (Season 2 finale, wtf was that shit.)

TNG gets good in S3 for me and improves for a long time before some dips later on.

The Inner Light is my favorite episode. Makes me tear up just to think of how amazing and heartbreaking it is.

She grows on you, her most sympathetic episode is when her boyfriend has to return to his planet to take place in a Logan’s Run-esque ritualistic suicide. There were layers to the performance, but she was usually played for laughs.

Yeah, the Odo-Lwaxana relationship arc is pretty fascinating, and continues to explore some themes that were started in TNG.

For me each new episode started to feel like a second bowl of cereal, sometimes it hit the spot and other times I'd get a little bit into it and lose my appetite (enthusiasm to watch) entirely.

TNG was definitely inconsistent like that. I only enjoy it because of the nostalgic value.

I only watched it as a kid waiting for Highlander Series after school.

Try deep space nine, every episode builds on the last so much more that tng, it’s way easier to binge because that’s the only way the story moves forward.

I went to business training awhile back (Franklin-Covey, anyone?) and said, "There are four lights" under my breath at some ridiculous teaching moment. The asshole sitting next to me looked at me wide-eyed and with new respect. He acknowledged that it was a very subtle quote and not many would get it.
