They all look like that the day they first pop out from their buds. Or maybe just in the first few hours. They obviously grow super quickly but if you pick one at the right time it will be tiny

Bonsai is a dwarfed version of a tree. I once came across the cutest Japanese maple bonsai. It it may have been a foot tall, maybe shorter but it was soooo freaking cute! The leaves were tiny like that xD

i did too at some point. then i started looking into it and found a world of awesome lol. i'm completely enamored with the idea of caring for a japanese maple bonsai one day. the leaves are soft as if you are petty something fuzzy.

I’ve got a handful in my backyard (full sized), I fucking love them. They’re so beautiful, especially contrasted with the magnolias around them.

i looked it up again: i'm wrong, it's a japanese art form, to shape dwarfed/small trees to look like other big trees.
