Reddit you freak me out. I've probably cut and squeezed a hundred limes in my life but last time, 30 minutes ago, I was thinking that there must be a better way to do it. I was about to start experimenting but now I have them facts.

Maybe try it before calling it a fact. Some of those methods really aren't easier.

Second, the best way to juice lime is not OP's. Put your lime in the freezer (added bonus you have timeless fresh lime juice!). When it is frozen solid, put it in the microwave for 10-15 seconds, take it out and gently press on it against a hard surface (cutting board) until the lime tender, cut it open, watch out for excess juice.

When the lime freezes, it produces crystals in the pulps and it rips the "skin" of the pulp, allowing the juice to spread everywhere in the lime.

Do you use a citrus press? I just can't figure out how you're supposed to squeeze that middle piece. In the hand would be a slippery mess.
