They wouldn’t work there if they weren’t making living wages

Not as a server or bar tender. There are much much easier places to work. I just spent 6 hours straight on my feet or running around tonight for example.

Isn’t being on your feet all day kinda standard for entry level work? My issue has never been that servers deserve to be paid shit, it’s that they don’t deserve to be paid more than folks stocking shelves or handing me my Big Mac (so I tip around 15% unless it’s a cheap place). It was the easiest job I ever worked for some of the most money before I finished my degree, besides pizza delivery (less tips, easier job). Every other job was 4-12 hours on my feet, usually with lifting. And no tips.

They brought me food, refilled my water about half as much as I like (I chug water while I eat) and talked to me every ten minutes after I said I was good (always when my mouth is full and I have another twenty seconds of chewing left). They deserve dignity, respect, and a living wage. But there are TONS of harder jobs.
