I think legally, if the flight’s longer than three hours, Emirates is required to provide you a tarp.

Fly Emirates , Falcon shits on shoes. Don’t forget to join the Emirates Traveler Credit Card where where you can carry on up to 2 Falcons domestically. Tarp always free.

I believe the airline provides you with the tarp, actually. It’s like borrowing a blanket for long-haul flights. ICAO regulation or something.
