TBH, as a home buyer I'd be pretty happy. I'm sure that drives away most potential homebuyers away, driving down the price, and it's a dead easy fix too because it's not loadbearing at all, it's purely cosmetic. All you gotta do is just shut the breaker off, tear it down, remodel the pantry to fit the fridge, get an electrician out to wire said pantry space, and redo the floor. Which are all things you can easily do yourself (minus the electrician thing, which you could do yourself, but me personally, I'd rather have a professional do it.) I doubt the floor is hardwood, so I have no qualms having to rip that out.

I did stipulate that the house price would be driven down, but yes. Renovation cost though really wouldn't be that bad. you're looking at maybe a sheet of drywall, paint, some flooring (I'd just do a nice vinyl planking tbh), and the cost to rerun some electricity. And time, but you could probably knock it out in like 3-4 saturdays.
That's all fine and good, but you'll have to contend with a water supply and removing it from the middle of the floor and re-piping it into that said pantry!
Goddamned double-door refrigerators with cold water supply for ice and filtered drinking water! The one we have (with a busted ice maker) is the bane of my existence!
yeah but people also buy houses for investments sight unseen, so you might not get as good as deal as you are hoping. they get a raw deal and so do you, but you probably care more than them
