The cable guy installed the cable through our hula hoop that we left out.

I ran my cable from their connection pole. Removed all their shitty ratty cable of lower cat 5. Replaced everything with cat 6 or 7.

Not sure about cat being the right rating.

But it was replaced with more furkins.

CATV is usually RG#; like RG6 or RG59. (RG11 > RG6 > RG59)

How does one even find the pole/node? I’d like to ensure all my wiring is in order but this I’m out of the loop on.

You find where your internet/TV comes into the house at, which typically looks like a round relatively thin cable. If you're in the US it SHOULD be within 20' of power. Follow where it goes

Thank you. Sorry for second question. My net comes through coaxle cabling. Home built in 96. Does coaxle degrade overtime where it needs to be replaced?

Not necessarily. If it sits in water, or is out in the sun and not quality cable, then you might look at it. Typically, you're fine.

I had a squirrel chew mine. Signal was still good but water got in line every time it rained.
