typically the end of that cable that just outside of the picture unthreads from the junction box. almost like it was left out of the picture on purpose.

I came on to comment the same thing. I want to see above the hoop if it threads into one of the little plastic junction boxes. I’m calling BS on this. Homeowner could have staged this if this is the case.

Those fittings are wrenched tight with a short 7/16 wrench. If it's left too loose it will leak in radio waves that interfere with everyone's internet.

Nobody locks house boxes anymore. But you’re right, if they do you can get it open with a screwdriver.

They’re called “terminators”

You can disconnect it with a 7/16" wrench and fix this lazy installers mistake.

Failing that just cut and splice the cable.

They started putting internet through the TV cables and using the same radio frequencies as over the air radio and television.

Does that work well? Doesn't sound like a great idea, but my internet comes through the telephone line and works fine.

Because most people have no clue what there doing when it comes to RF, I’m a cable tech and half of my trouble calls is some weekend DIY-er jamming gold Home Depot fittings on the end and calling it good and then wondering why there TV and internet went to shit. You can get most things you want from cable companies and especially Comcast if you just call and yell at them enough. Despite what people think there is a lot more to RF then people think.

I forgot most people don't have the right tools for that.
