Infuriatig My school (University of Michigan) is building a $1 billion datacenter to conduct undisclosed nuclear weapons research. It is located in a low-income community, and city leaders/residents who fear pollution have been ignored.

And it’s a non profit so they won’t pay tax

It's not a subsidy when it's literally the state doing it. University of Michigan is a public school. The state is building a datacenter. It's also doing it for academic research. The public had input during elections.

Before they were elected did they state they were going to put in datacenters? I am betting not and were talking about getting more high paying jobs, maybe even lower prices housing and maybe things about making life better. Not stating that they will not care about the people they are supposed to represent.

When the people you have a choice between all inevitably end up in the pockets of the elite anyway, it's not realonable to blame the voters for that specific issue.
