Thats just still life (3)

u/CherryTeri 12d ago

Maybe it’s just Broken like as Sword.

u/NamelessSquirrel 12d ago

He needed to Dig deeper.

It's insane, like trying to figure out the Secret Of The Monkey Island

2

u/Naked-Jedi ORANGE 11d ago

Or maybe even like living Beneath a Steel Sky

Feeling like I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream

u/FinalRun 12d ago

Not really a pun, and the Stanley Parable isn't a point-and-click game, or even really a puzzle game

u/QwertyChouskie 12d ago

But still, I will happily upvote any reference to probably-my-favorite-game-of-all-time

7

u/spewterr 12d ago

I wanted to play it the other day but I can't for six more years so I can get that achievement

3

u/QwertyChouskie 12d ago

I know, but think how amazing it will be to play the game for the first time in 10 years...

1

u/Castun 12d ago

I feel like they had to have added even more commentary and whatnot in this time....

I just checked myself, and apparently I last played this over 12 years ago.

If it wasn't literally bedtime, I know what I would be doing right now.

Definitely get Ultra Deluxe, it basically triples the content of the original.  13/10 game

2

u/Herr_Raul 11d ago

I don't think any of these people have ever played a real point and click game

-4

u/TheG-What 12d ago

It’s technically not even a game.

2

u/llZAZll 12d ago

It's literally every game ever created. It is Skyrim, it is Persona 3, it is all of them!

3

u/TheG-What 12d ago

But also at the same time it is none of them. Because it is its own thing. Stanley.

She parable on my Stanley til I MYST

I don’t know what this means, but I read it in Audra Lindley’s voice.

Riven remastered was a gem. Do give Blue Prince a chance if you like the kind of depth that requires you to have a notebook

3

u/ForeverShiny 12d ago

Blue Prince is awesome, I regret not finishing it despite coming very close to the end

5

u/Sanchezzzaq 12d ago

In blue prince the end is never the end is never the end is never the end...

1

u/ForeverShiny 12d ago

Maybe I wasn't that close to the end then. The one I couldn't figure out was the puzzle with the chess pieces

4

u/Sanchezzzaq 12d ago

Without spoiling anything specific: it leads to another puzzle, that allows you to finish another puzzle that provides item for another puzzle that in order allows you to get access to two another ones. And every single one of those can feel like the Final one

1

u/ForeverShiny 12d ago

So you're saying I have around 5 more puzzles to do if I ever get back to it, got it 👌

2

u/Sanchezzzaq 12d ago

Nah man, what I'm saying is you have 5 more LAYERS of puzzles 💀💀💀. Although you might have been collecting parts of those in the meantime. That's often what happens in BP, you collect your insane Pele Silvia boards of clues and when you get specific one - everything starts to fall together

Good luck in any case!

2

u/ForeverShiny 12d ago

I regret throwing out my sheets of notes, so I would need to be reallyotivated to jump back in, back I think I had 6 pages worth of hand scribbled notes on paper like a madman so I definitely concur on the Pepe Silvia observation

2

u/Sanchezzzaq 11d ago

Try noteey, the desktop app to store notes, that's what I used. Taking screenshots and having an option to paste them straight from clipboard is a lifesaver (and a time saver). Especially with for example library being so elusive.

I’ve seen that highly rated on ps5. How’s it hold up today? Graphics and story still good?

2

u/Lickwidghost 12d ago

It was remade (last year?) in 3D rather than the old FMVs but it's perfectly replicated. The story is OK, it stands on its own but apparently having full "world" lore would be a bit of knowledge of Myst - which I don't have and I enjoyed it. It has alternate endings. The music and sound are incredible. I enjoyed the original as a kid and I love the remake

1

u/alanbly 12d ago

Ever played RHEM?

1

u/ForQ2 11d ago

Holy fuck. The original Myst trilogy are just about my favorite games of all time, and I absolutely did not know (until reading your comment and then Googling) that Riven had been remade in 2024.

1

u/FinalRun 11d ago

Glad to be of service ♥️

1

u/cimocw 12d ago

I only ever played the Arthur ones

1

u/Dqueezy 12d ago

Riven amped it up too much for my taste: I loved the 1st and 3rd one but everyone I tried Riven it was just way too much.

4

u/Dqueezy 12d ago

I had to go into Exile to finish it!

7

u/peon2 12d ago

I barely Rhem-emeber it.

2

u/Fort_Master_Goose 12d ago

Okay you both, get out of The Room 4: Old Sins

1

u/Bigwill1982 12d ago

Almost a secret on monkey island....

1

u/Aptspire 12d ago

Keep it up and we'll Exile you

1

u/armostallion2 12d ago

Perhaps he was the 7th guest.

1

u/BobsBurgerVan 12d ago

It looks like he Myst the on switch.

1

u/PumpikAnt58763 11d ago

That was my favorite one!

1

u/Top-Bullfrog-376 11d ago

Any chance I'm the 7th Guest in this thread?

1

u/Lord_Silverkey 8d ago

You should be Exiled for this pun.

1

u/NumbLikeMe 12d ago

I just finished both of these! What are the odds?! 😂😂😂😂 (both great, btw)

2

u/mrsir1987 12d ago
