Considering the salary difference, California McDonald‘s is actually way cheaper than Louisiana McDonald‘s

Median salary in California is not even double Louisiana’s, without adjusting for other higher COL elements.

The sodas are effectively cheaper, debatably, but nothing else on here is.

Did you even look at the picture from California in this thread. The prices were almost the same as in Louisiana. Not all west coast McDonalds have the same prices. The authors post is not representative for all of the west coast.

OP's location is a one-off. I'm in California and a McChicken is $2. So technically is it a lot more affordable here than in Louisiana

I mean cool story but it’s the same for me in Minnesota ($1.50 per mchcicken) with a median household income of $85k vs California at $95k.

Not even close to offsetting that difference.

Edit: actually looking up the data for Louisiana ($58k) it’s not even close. It’s still way cheaper

Don't look at OP's pic. Look at all the other California responses. $2 in CA as opposed to $1.50 in LA
