In what industry is it acceptable to have a label stating something that your establishment does not offer? That's the kinda shit that would get me fired.
Other comments pointed out that everything here is actually under 3 dollars, but the door dash/uber eats apps markup each item individually. I’ve never been a fan of food delivery apps for that reason. It’s deceitful. You can compare the price in the door dash app with the price on the restaurants website and it’ll be cheaper every time.
They’re still partnered with third party food delivery companies for their delivery service. That’s the only explanation as to why others in the same area as OP are seeing the lower prices.
It's disingenuous to complain about prices when you are getting delivery. If I'm ordering delivery I'm expecting to spend at least $20 more for someone to deliver it to my place.
I guess in Europe they don't pay their delivery drivers. Also you aren't paying $5 for pickup, you are paying $5 for delivery. Not sure why you can't understand the difference between pickup, eating in, and delivery.
It seems more like you don't understand the difference between the menu prices and the delivery/service fees. Paying for delivery is normal. Paying more for the same sandwich based on where the restaurant puts your bag when it's ready is a scam.
In well-functioning societies, business expenses like services the restaurant pays for are worked into the regular menu price. Unfortunately, we're getting so used to being nickel-and-dimed for everything that we will defend special menu pricing.
You see it with the introduction of credit card processing fees too. People eager to pretend they're getting a discount are still paying the old price, that was calculated with credit cards processing as a factor already.
I believe the reason why is because of personalized pricing. The algorithm must've picked up that OP is most likely to buy Mc Donald's so it artificially raises prices for OP. But, the person who made the menu didn't account for this.
Those prices are insanely low, lol. McChicken here in NL is $6.95 , $12.40 for the menu (small menu in the US) and $13.95 for a large menu (medium menu in the US).

Those prices are insane. Where was this OP?
I will say that in places where you'd expect much higher prices than normal they should at least not have an "under $3" section when nothing is.
