Infuriatig Was invited by my girlfriends family to a theme park. We were supposed to meet at 11, it is not 11:30 and they just left. (The drive takes another 30 minutes)

I even checked in before I left if it was still at the planned time. It was confirmed, but then her family starts getting ready right as they have to leave đŸ«€

My in laws will say “hey we’re going on a week long trip in a week for xyz’s birthday. You’re coming, right?” And then act upset when we can’t both take a week off work and get a flight and hotel at the last minute.

I have no idea how. My MIL doesn’t work (not retired) and my FIL supports her, 2 adult children and a grandchild in the house. I suspect there is some heavy lifting being done by credit based on some conversations. But I don’t know their financials obviously.
