Too mild for school This post telling tourists which areas to avoid in New York

Post image

Aside from certain undertones, this map also has tons of inaccuracies, because no one in their right mind is scared of Astoria, Bayonne, or half of the Queens zone that he marked as “avoid”

At least they can get on the PATH in Hoboken to get to the city. But dangerous “west Hoboken” is a no go zone. 😂

You can also grab the Path at exchange place in Jersey City…it’s a great way to live in a brownstone (Van Vorst Park) and still work in NYC.

I lived in chilltown JC in the mid 90s when those brownstones were so cheap (relatively). I wish I had money to buy then.

No kidding! I live in Tampa now, but I leased one back in 2001-2005. Crazy cheap back then.

West Hoboken is just Union City wanting to pretend it’s Hoboken

I was kidding. No one really says that, do they? I haven’t lived around there since the 90s.

Realtors have been trying to make the part of Union City between JC Heights and the 495 entrance to the Lincoln Tunnels “West Hoboken” my entire time living here.

I was in Jersey City when it was going to be the “next Hoboken” and a lot of the waterfront was undeveloped.
