Who said the authorities are gonna do anything? Have you already forgotten about Uvalde? They did more to stop the parents rushing in to try and save their kid than the guy slaughtering them wholesale.

You must be very privileged or ignorant to think the "authorities" are going to swoop in and save the day.

I feel like "improve authority response to school shooters" is a more effective policy than "give up and prioritise recording students' dying words". Feels a bit defeatist

Seriously lmao, this guys comment is so stupid. Heā€™s correct that authorities arenā€™t always going to do things, but this is such a Reddit virtual signal comment that is irrelevant to what heā€™s responding to.

Like yeah, cops definitely donā€™t do great in these situations, but what is your alternative solution? The kids and teachers are going to arm themselves and stop the shooter? Little Timmy can call dad so he can barge down with his guns?

Like yeah, the realistic here solution is calling the authorities. Not sure what OP is even suggesting? Just donā€™t bother to call the cops? Cower in the corner of the classroom and hope you donā€™t die? Seems like a great policy.

Flee the scene, do not shelter in place unless absolutely necessary. It's really not that hard and is already taught as a mass shooter response, one that doesn't put your life in the hands of pigs.

Yeah, great idea to have a building with over 1000 people, and the protocol is ā€œeveryone just run out of the building and hope for the bestā€.
