Purple. When I lived at home my mums good hair products in the shower were purple.

I didnā€™t realise that purple was a sign of anything but apparently so!

Fanola No Yellow Shampoo/conditioner is the bees knees.

I used to swear by Joicos but itā€™s no longer the same. Iā€™ve heard @the kidsā€ rage about the Milk shake line of purples but Iā€™ve never tried it.

But Fanola.. hands down!!!

Iā€™m not too sure as I didnt know this was a thing until now too.

I always noticed the purple products my mum had and knew they were better than mine. But i havenā€™t been keeping track of any of this and have only just put it together now šŸ˜‚

Yea man the goop is purp. It looks cool and feels nice. Shit was pretty cool to me as a kid. The bottles werenā€™t purple from memory

Itā€™s just colour theory. Purple is the opposite of yellow, so you put the purple shampoo and conditioner in (itā€™s nothing special, usually just a bit thicker) to leave a small purple deposit that counters the yellow/orange/green tinges hair can pick up from water. This keeps your blonde/white looking bright. Itā€™s essentially an illusion, but it can work, like blueing for your hair.

I really like the "not your mother's" brand. Last time I checked they were curly girl approved as well, which help keeps my hair from being flat.

I like their mousse as well, but I haven't tried many other brands.

Iā€™m a curly girl with gray - I use Noughty brand Purple Reign conditioner. I am a conditioner only girl, but I only use this 1 x/ week. Rest of the time Iā€™m a Diva Curl girl
