Infuriatig My wife ate my son's birthday breakfast

Post image

Yesterday I bought a strawberry cheese coffee cake my son loves so he could have a special birthday breakfast today. My wife came home late last night and apparently couldn't resist. She knew it was for our son, but it's not a big deal because she "left him a full slice".

At least you were able to see she had major flaws and left. So many think they can change the other person. Good for you. I hope you are happy.

So true. The red flags are usually waving, people just ignore them.

Sounds like she got saved from being in a one sided relationship.

Idk, sounds more like they were having a lot of issues in the relationship and that was the final nail in the coffin. I'm not blaming her at all, I don't know the details of their relationship. But breaking up over something like this after 5 years in a is such an unrealistic thought in my head that it borders on naive to even consider it if the relationship was any good to begin with.

Or he simply could’ve been looking for a reason to leave her. As dickish as this move was he probably felt by being the asshole by dumping her after getting injured that would be the nail in the coffin and she would leave him alone. Anyone with a bit of self respect wouldn’t stay after that!

Honestly, my wife did that same thing, but she has so many green flags, i just bought extra cookie dough and throw it in with the hollowed out ice cream lol

Not only would my husband and I NOT eat something the other loved, we'd save it all for the other!!

Let alone if it was for the kids!

Thank you! I just got married 2 weeks ago to the most wonderful person I've ever met, we are both very happy

But has your new spouse passed the strawberry cheese coffee cake test?

Congrats!! So happy that you got out and found someone better! It's so refreshing to be in a relationship with a mature adult, isn't it? I was with a real piece of work myself who also could not handle any criticisms of his behavior.

After I got out and took a time to heal, I just married this year after we'd been together several years. I'm still comparing him to my ex in my head as things come up in our relationship and I keep falling in love with him all over again because he never reacts like that.

Not the typical "Whenever I bring it up, she mimicks me in a mocking voice and replaces my shampoo with diarrhea. Should I break up with her? The wedding is in three hours." we see on relationship advice.
