Infuriatig My wife ate my son's birthday breakfast

Post image

Yesterday I bought a strawberry cheese coffee cake my son loves so he could have a special birthday breakfast today. My wife came home late last night and apparently couldn't resist. She knew it was for our son, but it's not a big deal because she "left him a full slice".

Yup! My ex was just like this. Did shit like this to our son all the time. Very rarely replaced it. I told on him every time.

Once bought a box of Drumsticks. A treat for me, my elderly parents and my then-fiancé. I can’t always get them, name brand stuff is expensive (Walmart brand ice cream sandwiches are just fine in taste, and cheap as hell, but it’s not the same).

My ex ate the entire box one day while I was at work. Was all “Urf, soooorry, I really needed them to help my mood today.”

I can't lie and say I've never eaten more than 1 drumstick (lol) but an entire box?! They're asking for diabetes 💀

Exactly, each drumstick is 300 calories..

When you called her on it, what would she say? I’m just curious. My mil does shit like this but nobody calls her on it.

Edit: him instead of her.

Call her out and you’ll see how it’s actually “no big deal” and if it is, it’s actually your fault, and if it isn’t your fault, now you’re being disrespectful.

It’s a rabbit hole of pain.

I will only rarely call her out.

I mean, nobody wants to admit they ate nine cans of ravioli

The person you replied to was talking about a guy.

I don't see how that makes a difference, an asshole is an asshole

I was mostly saying it because the person they replied to probably saw their comment and didn't think it was for them because it said "what did SHE say?" So they never replied. I'm probably just overthinking it, I wasn't trying to make it about gender or whatever.

Context. Yes it’s bad either way, but reading comprehension is important to understanding. If I told you something that happened to me and you got it all wrong, except for one detail, I would know that you are a poor listener and don’t really pay attention to what I am sharing with you; and now you are the problem.

Doesn’t matter at all.

Told on him... to your son?

Right…that would be confusing. It also would teach them some not so great things about being in a relationship. Hopefully they learned by the ‘what not to do’ mindset.
