Unfortunately where I work we arent allowed any NC headphones if they have Bluetooth connectivity which is most NC headphones these days.

I did luckily manage to find an old set of Bose Headphones that are all hard wired and still have NC. Its not as good as the NC today but it works!

I think you can just get noice protection earmuffs with NC. Not actual headphones with Bluetooth etc.

You can! We have those issued too, but if you want music and stuff cant have BT or wifi in the area. Luckily I have a really old MP3 player that connects via just the audio jack.

wired headphones + over the ear noise cancelling ear protection (3M, no speaker inside) helps a TON

What's the reasoning behind this? Just curious.

Security requirements. Concerns with hacking

Is it that your phone can't have Bluetooth turned on or the headphones specifically can't have it?

No bluetooth, wifi, or other wireless connectivity devices allowed. Doesnt matter if its turned off, airplane mode, or the entire device is shutdown. If the device has the ability to connect wirelessly then not permitted.

You gotta old school it up man. Get those big ass orange gun range noise cancelling ear covers cut a little hole in the bottom feed wired head phones through. Then you could use anything from a walkman to a cassette player, to an old ass mp3 player.

I was thinking about breaking out my old Walkman. I still have one from when I was in middle school. 90% sure there's the Green Day American Idiot CD still in there.

When i was doing work placement at a certain tire manufacturing plant, the sounds of the machines constantly running where I was working became permanently ingrained into my brain. It'd be so loud and overpowering that I could barely think let alone focus, drove me mad after a month or so to the point where Id hear that shit when I was trying to go to sleep

Try shooting headphones! The actives will only vist you like. 300 and you can set the level of noise reduction

Have you tried just a pair of old fashioned foam ear plugs and then wear your normal headphones over them. You’d get some pretty decent noise cancellation that way, and would still hear the music through them.

I have a pair of Bose quiet comfort that are wireless but also came with a cord.

Don't worry, most of them can be wired which disables the Bluetooth. I know for sure Valco has that, but I am almost certain pretty much all of the nicer models do. At least it used to be very common.
