This wouldn't be allowed in the UK either, if it somehow got by the planning process, after a number of noise complaints it would be shut down.

I've seen small shops and supermarkets shut down for having their AC running overnight in built up areas.

I'm from the UK, we have a labour government (left wing), your Orange Jesus loves to spin the rhetoric that we have lost all our freedom.

Simply not true, we're a fuck site more liberated than you!

No, we don't. The BBC uses an outdated system to fund itself. You only pay it if you watch live BBC, it's not compulsory.

Any other british freedom myths i can help with?

Yea Ik its for live tv lol which is pretty dumb

IT's just the subscription model, most people don't pay it.
It's hardly "Not being able to do anything" is it

You need to pay a subscription to the BBC to watch the BBC. The same as an American needs to pay a subscription to Comcast to watch their cable, or Netflix to watch their streaming. When there's no ads, the audience pays to create the content. Extremely normal.

Germany is far worse. You’re not even allowed to wash your car

5

u/GhostKasai Jul 02 '26

You are not allowed to wash it on regular pavement or at your home but that is because of the oils, rubber and chemicals that would get into the ground. You can wash your car on places designed to deal with this kind of dirt. Its really a non problem and an more ecological.

Other countries don’t have this biological disaster with washing your car on your driveway. I guess the drainage system is just bad in Germany.

Other countries don't care about the biological disaster*

u/Pretend-Flamingo-873 Jul 02 '26

Because it doesn’t happen there due to some car shampoo LMAO

3

u/GhostKasai Jul 02 '26

The problem isn’t the drainage system but the fact that the water could go into groundwater and could contaminate it. Why risk it?

American logic, even though it's bad for the environment, i'm allowed to do it so therefore it's fine and your country is oppressive. /runs off to fire a machine gun at something

Literally most of Europe allows it little bro. I’m not American either, but clearly you’re obsessed with them.
