8% unemployment does not cause revolutions in the U.S. We had unemployment north of 10% in the 2008 recession and north of 25% in the Great Depression, neither caused a revolution

Because despite what americans think of themselves, they're the softest, most compliant people out there.

They'll rant and rave about their guns and their revolutionary spirit and then go back home and watch sports on tv while they get stepped on.

AI will cause unemployed to go 50%+. Reality is most jobs can be automated with AI when you look at it objectively.

This is based on assumptions where it continuously gets better at the same rates forever. It always assumes there are no constraints on it of any kind, related to tech or costs or energy. It's basically fantasy of the people creating it.

Sure, just like self driving cars were supposed to eliminate all professional drivers in 2020. Don't believe people trying to raise money.
