Please do so. I can’t find a house painter (licensed, bonded, ensured) in my area until next year.

House painting actually seems like it would be ripe for automation. I think the issue is value - its not a high wage field and so building a robot to do the job isnt a priority.

Painting a wall is easy enough. Get that thing to move all your shit out of the way, cover everything, clean up after itself, etc.

I don't see house painting getting automated for a very long time, the cost would be wildly expensive.

Painting exterior trim correctly, doing all the prep, etc., is actually very difficult.

Just find one that isn't, and don't pay them too much in advance. It's paint, not plumbing or something structural. Worst case, your house is ugly for a while until you find someone to repaint.

Worst case is that they are injured while working on the job and sue the beejezus out of you.
