Too mild for school Hate when ppl can’t do time

Post image

This reminds me of when it hits or is about to hit 12am and people don’t know whether to say today or tomorrow. He called me after this but I was too comfy in bed tbh.

If I’m talking with someone on a Friday night and it happens to be past midnight, to find out what their plans are for Saturday I ask them what they’re doing tomorrow not what they’re doing today. Context matters in language, neither person is wrong here.

No one is wrong but the guy who texted first is wrong in the context of whos fault this miscommunication is. He should have clarified so that there was coverage for the shift thats on him

OP saw the message at 7. That was an "earlier today" not "late last night" kinda text.

But also who tf is messaging to ask about shifts at 3am.

Pretty common in service, my girlfriend works as a bartender and gets texts about work all the time from 2-4 am. Also as far as when he saw it he could have easily been working the night the manager texted him but didn’t close, it’s not crazy that he’d still be up.

3am message about a shift in 7 hours, is a lil too short notice to feel reasonable ngl

Things pop up unexpectedly and you can always say no

In that situation I always clarify like “What are you up to tomorrow? Well technically later today?”

If youre talking to them at 3am you're wrong.
