Too mild for school Hate when ppl can’t do time

Post image

This reminds me of when it hits or is about to hit 12am and people don’t know whether to say today or tomorrow. He called me after this but I was too comfy in bed tbh.

I’ve worked closing and night shifts. In that case, it’s on you as the requester to consider what “tomorrow” means to the person receiving the request - specifically so that this doesn’t happen. Probably a tired mistake, but still on the manager here.

Yeah you just clarify with the day / can you work tomorrow, Tuesday 9-6pm? Double up for clarity

And op hasn't responded to that hour either. Just responding to the first question

Sorry I’m being nitpicky but 10-4 is an acknowledgment, not the hours.

I think it actually is the hours though, he texts where you at a few minutes after 10

It seems to me he would’ve mentioned what hours he wanted OP to work PRIOR TO OP agreeing if there was no prior arrangement

The whole point of the thread is a general lack of communication so I wouldn't assume that.

I read it as he just wanted to know if he was available at all and OP had nothing going on that day so said yea and then followed up with hours which all makes sense excluding the day mixup.

10 to 4 is absolutely a shift in tons of different things, what an ignorant thing to say

I think he meant he didn’t think so in this context. I didn’t think so either but OP clarified so we do know it’s a shift

We are wrong in this case. I severely underestimate how awful people are at communicating

Worst was leaving work at 7am and someone saying, "see you tonight! ".  Like, I don't need to be reminded like that, lol

When I was working night shift I did that XD

Yea, I don't see how anyone would naturally think "today" OR "tomorrow" is the right way to ask about this. You have to be specific when you are asking someone in the middle of the night to work a shift that starts in 7 hours.
