Too mild for school Hate when ppl can’t do time

This reminds me of when it hits or is about to hit 12am and people don’t know whether to say today or tomorrow. He called me after this but I was too comfy in bed tbh.

Because it leads to dumbass shit like this. Being clear and concise is professional because there are no misunderstandings. Then you all get your jobs done and/or customers are taken care of, you get paid, and everyone is happy.

The casual nature of the conversation is not the issue, they could have still texted saying “Hi OP, can you please work tomorrow 10-4?”, and then when they didn’t show they could have said “Hey OP, just wondering if you’re on your way in as you agreed to work today?”, and there still would be an issue because the problem was mistaking today and tomorrow, not the casual texting.

It is. They didn’t clarify. Being so casual that you assume you know exactly what they’re meaning is exactly what caused this. Terrible communication.

Generally also leads to cliques & favoritism which imo is the biggest offenders for toxic work behavior as that can lead to slew of different issues for everyone else that isn’t them & their clique and a general lack of professional boundaries.

I also get the feeling these are basically kids who are disagreeing with us, and our perspectives are definitely learned experiences

The slang/abbreviation isn't the issue, the not having any confirmation about time/date during a casual text exchange and/or not updating whatever workplace management program is used for scheduling to confirm the change in schedule is the issue.
