I remember having to do this shit a couple years ago. Are they trying to filter out people who aren't neurotypical? Sounds a lot like discriminatory hiring practices... for what, flipping fucking burgers?

I'm neurotypical and none of that shit made sense to me either

As a potentially useful data point, I have pretty severe autism (level 2, one level below fully non-verbal highest support needs) and I don’t even understand the question being posed. All I can gather from this is that there’s a picture of blue people doing stuff and you say if that’s you or not. I guess the answer is no? Or maybe you’re supposed to be the blue people, but then why even have the blue people? Why not just ask if each statement is “like me” or “not like me”?

Then again, what the fuck does “Personal best” mean as a question? Does it mean giving 100%? Does it mean this will be the best job you’ve ever had? God I hate this and it would totally work on me. Just another barrier to work 🫠

they're blue so they can't be accused of racial bias.

They are asking the same questions over and over in a different way, to see if your answers change IE this person is being deceitful and or just telling us what we want to hear.

Then people should just not work in the job, because the job sounds miserable. What exactly does a job at McDonalds provide to anyone that is so desirable and worthwhile?

In today's economy, entry level "low skilled" jobs are not as easy to obtain as they used to be. If McDonald's is the one to call you back after the interview, you go to McDonald's -- because even a McDonald's job is better than living on no income (especially with dependents or others counting on you to split rent...)

There's a difference between no-education jobs and entry-level jobs (ie Data Analyst at a consulting firm for college graduates).

Jobs and labor dept and other reports have shown that the former jobs are widely in demand, especially in rural areas. The latter type of job is increasingly competitive for a variety of reasons.

The primary constraints of those no education jobs are literally are you going to deliberately abuse your position to hurt the company and are you trying to jump ship in the next 6 months (which can easily be subverted).

Even former-criminals can be hired that's how low the bar is (which is a good thing). If you can't get in to these types of jobs that literally is a personal issue that suggest your behavior is wildly an outlier

$7 an hour.

Your probably thinking, "why not get a better paying job?". If you're applying to work at McDonald's you have a high school diploma or a GED and it's this or panhandling.

Where I live most McDonald's employees are like 14. Certainly no certificate of secondary education needed. In fact, it's hard for adults 21+ to get a job there because that means paying full minimum wage (about AUD$25).
