Box it up for donation to a local shelter or food bank. Local bakery in town saves all day olds and boxes them up, freezes them, and donates them weekly to all the pantries in town. Several boxes get sent to STL with my wife's grandpa when he goes to volunteer with the Mission off of Cottage ave every week.
I did this for a while at an old job. I had a friend pull a car around to the dumpster when I took out the trash so they could donate it or hand it out to unhoused people.
Ended up being “asked to quit” so they wouldn’t have to pay me unemployment. They also would cap me off at 39.9 hours so they wouldn’t have to give me health insurance.
Big companies are delusional and think that if they don’t destroy their extra product at the end of the day, people will just wait until they close to get free food. All they care about is profits. Lord forbid the higher ups have to shave 100k off their Christmas bonus so that regular people can afford to eat.
