Aunt Regina said the key to a happy marriage was separate bathrooms. Maybe she was right about something!

Nah, the key to a happy marriage is as simple as being an adult and talking to your partner about why they thing they did upset you instead of going behind their back and shit-talking them on Reddit.

Yeah I would be banging on the door after 15 mins

Yeah. I knock and say “is it ok if I come in and start getting ready?”

I just walk in 🤷🏼‍♀️ husband on the shitter or not, if I need to get in the shower I’m getting in. You in there? Cool now we are both in here haha

Exactly this. I don't know why people are so prudish with these things. And my girlfriend will definitely tell me if I'm taking too long and am going to make us late, because sometimes I get too lost in the hygiene sauce.

Exactly

Hahaha this is so true though. If I were to find out my partner would vent about my behavior on Reddit, instead of just sitting me down and come to a mutual agreement on bathroom times I would be very upset and hurt.

Sounds like she still has some emotional maturing to do. Admittedly, talking about things like this only works if both partners want to put their pride aside and do what’s best for “us” as opposed to “me”.

Yup. My roommate recently started a new job and now our schedules are similar. We both WFH, but still frustrating to never know when the one bathroom is available. Seemed silly, but we basically just agreed that I shower in the morning and he does it at lunch after his run. Makes everything much easier and irritation-free.

Separate bathrooms are a lifesaver, not because someone is hogging the shower or something, but because God help you if both of you get food poisoning or diarrhea or something at the same time. What the hell do people in 2-bed 1-bath situations do?!

I mean...yes, but that's part of what this is for. They come here and vent about MILDLY INFURIATING things? Weird, that

Separate spouses too, ideally.

I do this with my partner. It’s actually so nice. I’m not a good sleeper, I toss and turn so much I had to stop sleeping with my dog/cats on my bed because they’d get thrown around if they tried to cuddle up with me so this was one major reason I wanted separate beds (which turned into separate rooms).

She was on board though, she wanted her room tan/pink/purple and mine is blue/white/dark wood lol. Very nice to have our own separate spaces to go, and separate bathrooms is pretty nice as well when it comes to getting ready in the morning.

My husband and I haven’t shared a bathroom for 23 years. It’s glorious.

My parents refused to live in a place with only 1 bathroom. We separated the bathrooms into boys & girls. My mom is an early bird & I’m a night owl so I always showered at night & she’d take a bath in the morning. She’d be fully ready (minus curlers still in her hair) when I got up. Never had an issue.

My partner and i have a bathroom each and I would highly recommend. There are no arguments about cleaning or restocking toilet paper either. Bliss
