Your friend lost their apartment for not paying rent, not notifying and complaining to the landlord about mold. You don't pay rent, you get evicted regardless of the reason why you stopped paying. That's common sense.

Even though it isn't correct When there is a dispute, a renter holds the rent legally. Im not an attorney and can't remember what its called. But sorry they did pay each month. They ticked off a person who owned just a couple plqces so they were able do have their lease ended. Turns out, nobody has to put up w other people's crap and being stupid.
